Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan consultation (LCWIP)
BikeSafe has taken part in discussions with the Eynsham LCWIP group. There is now a public consultation of the Draft Eynsham and the surrounding area Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).

This consultation will run from Monday 29th September to Monday 27th October at 23:59.
Comments received through the consultation will be part of the final version of the LCWIP.
Glow Ride Oxford Wednesday 22nd October
Cycling UK is holding a nationwide Glow Ride event. There is one taking place in Oxford on 22nd October at 18.00. It’s open to anyone over the age of 18. Make sure you have bike lights as well as lots of other lights and cycle through the beautiful city of Oxford.

As you may be aware, the Planning Inspectorate has asked the Botley West Solar Farm company PVDP to comment by 1st July on certain aspects of its application
One of the aspects relates to the compulsory purchasing of land adjacent to the B4044 and B4449. The land in question is earmarked by the council for the future building of our community path.
BikeSafe has therefore sent in the following reply to the Planning Inspectorate.

BikeSafe is part of the consultation group. We had our first meeting 22nd May. We will keep you posted of the outcome.

The deadline for your comments is 24th June (midnight).

About 50 people joined us in July 2022 to highlight the continued need for a cycle path. Ages ranged from 8 to 80.
